Last year I was asked to take part in a submit a stamp design for the Brazilian Post Office, to be considered. Each year a stamp is created dedicated to a profession, and in 2023 it was for the incredible School Cooks.
As part of the briefing, the goal was to present the variety of fresh ingredients available in Brazilian cuisine, and schools, as well as different stages they take in, such as prepping, organizing, and cooking. I focused illustration and abundant table, and from the ingredients, to the food going to the plate.
My design was not the chosen one, but all the same it was a beautiful image to think of, great textures to explore with the food, as well as my tending to my own memories from having meals from when I went to public schools in Brazil.
