Bairro
Since moving back to Brazil, I've started looking at the landscapes of the region I grew up with in a beautiful sense of detachment and fascination.
For a long time, I thought that growing up in the countryside had made me "behind" in access to many things. But today I look with great affection at the rich and mysterious childhood I experienced – and how I still bring that curiosity to my work.
"Bairro" is a visual collage, attempting to capture those moments of contemplation and peace from my local landscapes. I developed the illustrations, animated them in Procreate and Photoshop, and made the sounds with recordings on my cell phone.
